The Ferrari Club of America raced into the Loop to celebrate the iconic restaurant’s 85th anniversary.
Chicago got a major horsepower boost as the 15th annual Ferraris in the Loop benefit parked itself on Monroe between Clark and Dearborn on Sunday. The event, which celebrated the restaurant’s 85th anniversary, was hosted by the Ferrari Club of America and featured 50 cars ranging from a vintage 1962 250 GTO to a brand new 2012 FF. Guests of the Italian Village and passersby posed next to the sleek sports cars and raised funds for Lurie Children’s Hospital and Inspiration Corporation, an organization dedicated to helping the homeless by providing job training and housing services. “My inspiration is to help people realize their potential and achieve it,” said Inspiration Corp. president, Shannon Stewart.
