Celebrate Chicago’s burgeoning talent at this annual event
Oct. 1: Celebrate and support Chicago’s aspiring artists, singers, dancers, chefs and other talent (before they hit the big time) at the After School Matters 10th annual gala. Held in Navy Pier’s Grand Ballroom, the event will feature dinner and a reception, plus an art gallery and performance, all by After School Matters youth. The organization was created and promoted by the late Maggie Daley. Her husband, former mayor Richard M. Daley, will serve as honorary co-chair along with Mayor Rahm Emanuel and his wife, Amy Rule.
