A ‘Real’ mess
Hollywood’s biggest divorce is getting nasty!
I was scheduled to interview Adrienne Maloof last week for this column before her divorce from estranged husband Paul Nassif took an ugly turn. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star hosted the Softcup Beauty Retreat to kick off the Emmys at her Beverly Hills mansion. However, news broke the day before the posh event that a judge issued her temporary custody of her three kids after she alleged that Paul choked one of them. In light of the drama, Adrienne cancelled all media interviews, but an inside source says that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
“Her husband now is accusing her of being an alcoholic,” the source says. “So she’s refusing to take any photos by a bar or with alcohol.”
The irony in the newest accusation is that Adrienne is trying to promote Zing vodka, her family’s new spirit venture. To pour salt into the wound, Paul is suing Adrienne and served her papers during the Emmy event — also attended by co-stars Kim and Kyle Richards and Camille Grammer — at her packed home.
Despite all the mudslinging, Adrienne is keeping her cool. “The divorce is not bringing her down — she’s in total control,” the source says.
Adrienne has put the home she shared with Paul on the market for $26 million, but it still holds images of their fairy-tale wedding. “There are still photos framed in the house from their wedding day,” the source says. “But in some of the family photos Paul’s face is cut out!”
My source assures me that the socialite has more tricks up her sleeve. “Don’t be surprised if Adrienne steps out with a new, hot younger boyfriend in the next couple of weeks!”
The next big thing
Up and coming pop star and Justin Bieber look-alike Ryan Beatty took a break from his tour — which recently stopped in Chicago — to talk to this column. The singer, who has become a YouTube sensation, says he’s single and he has a message for all his lady fans: “I’m looking for someone who can make me laugh with a good personality.” Ryan’s fans aren’t limited to teenyboppers, either: Ashton Kutcher has praised his work. “Ashton tweeted, ‘Is this kid @JustinBieber 2.0?’ I was shocked,” Ryan said. During his time promoting his music in the Windy City, he did take a break and do some sightseeing. “I had deep-dish pizza at Giordano’s and we went to the Hancock Observatory.”
