As I purchase my 22nd phone charger of the year and my 15th computer cord of the year, I have to wonder what type of invisible creature has invaded our lives and managed to cause so much frustration. Do they even belong to Earth or are they from another galaxy and using our chargers for food?
As a test to my friends and family, I coded my chargers with an invisible symbol so when they came over and charged their devices on “their” cords, I could check to see if they had previously and accidentally stolen mine.
My assumptions were surprisingly wrong. Their chargers belonged to them, which then led me to wonder, “What in the hell is going on? Are we in the midst of a conspiracy of some sort? Have Apple and Blackberry teamed up to form some sort of a new species where the cord actually unplugs itself, then uses the prongs as feet and runs away so we are forced to purchase more and more cords?”
I don’t know what’s going on, but you know things are desperate when all I’m asking Santa for this Christmas are chargers.
Does anyone else suffer with this phenomenon besides me?
