Giving thanks
It’s been a while since I’ve talked about gratitude and what I’m thankful for — so there’s no time like the present to express my appreciation to the universe for bringing so much happiness into my life. Here are some of the things I’m grateful for most right now:
• This one is obvious and I do give my thanks constantly: Evan is home with me in New York and I feel whole again.
• My group of friends that I can rely on for absolutely anything. I am so grateful for their friendship and the trust we have in one another.
• My online friends and fans, particularly my crew on Twitter. You’re always so supportive and you all brighten my day, every day.
• The soup I’m sipping while writing this, because I’m sick with a fever and chills and it’s amazing right now.
• Being in love. I am eternally grateful for all of the love in my life.
Besides the major things on my gratitude list, there are always small things that I tend to overlook: my vitamins, my bed, a sunset, a good nail polish, the warmth of my home, a funny text message and hugs from my son.
Now it’s your turn! Make a list of things you’re thankful for, big and small. The practice of writing your gratitude list down will make you appreciate what you have more than you already do.
