With renovations complete at Harris Theater (205 E. Randolph), there was plenty to celebrate — which is what 500 guests did April 5, with a little dancing and a splash of bubbly. The dance and music theater opened its doors for an evening — hosted by Jay Franke and David Herro — that included a performance of “Dido and Aeneas” by the Mark Morris Dance Group and Music Ensemble. The event raised more than $1 million for the theater.
Splash was the media sponsor of this event. The Sun-Times Foundation and the Chicago Community Trust will match every dollar donated to Harris Theater up to a total of $50,000. Up to $1,000 can be matched per individual donation.
