“Chicago Fire” star Monica Raymund and Lookingglass ensemble member Phil Smith took the stage to perform comedy acts and musical numbers as co-hosts of this vaudeville-themed affair. Held at Revel Fulton Market (1215 W. Fulton) April 2, the event honored Shawn M. Donnelley, president of philanthropic consulting firm Strategic Giving, and Ira Glass, “This American Life” radio host, with the Civic Engagement Awards. Co-chaired by Gerry Barad, Les Coney and Thomas O’Neill, the event raised more than $825,000 for Lookingglass Theatre Company.
Splash was the media sponsor of this event. The Sun-Times Foundation and the Chicago Community Trust will match every dollar donated to Lookingglass Theatre Company up to a total of $10,000. Up to $1,000 can be matched per individual donation.
