A 40-foot Christmas tree and sparkling paper snowflakes decorated the University Club of Chicago’s Cathedral Hall (76 E. Monroe) Dec. 8 for the nonprofit’s annual fête. Partygoers shopped a selection of jewelry and accessories from 18 local boutiques, including Monica + Andy and LuLu’s Vintage, and indulged in a festive lunch by University Club Executive Chef Mark Baker. At the event — co-chaired by Diane Freeman and Millicent Holmes — guests donated unwrapped toys to the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center, and a portion of the afternoon’s shopping sales will benefit The Service Club’s educational and cultural charities.
