Greeted with bubbling Champagne, more than 400 guests celebrated the art of food at Venue SIX10 (610 S. Michigan) Jan. 15. Event host Michael Muser — partner/general manager at Grace — presented the awards, which included Blackbird for Restaurant of the Year, Roister’s Andrew Brochu for Chef of the Year, Oriole for Best New Restaurant, Dixie for Best Restaurant Design and Nomad for Best Alternative Dining. At the afterparty presented by ITW Food Equipment Group, Rick Bayless was recognized with the Culinary Achievement Award. All honorees will be celebrated at the Grand Chefs Gala Feb. 3.
