Mago Grill & Cantina took Taco Tuesday to a new level at its South Loop location (1010 S. Delano Court) with a fundraising event Feb. 21. More than 400 taco lovers came out to see 13 of Chicago’s best restaurants battle for the “luchador” belt and title of “Best Taco 2017.” With its bold garlic shrimp taco, Son of a Butcher Tavern by Whisk (2934 W. Diversey) came out victorious. The fundraiser — hosted by chefs Ric Munoz and Juan Luis — benefitted The Greater Chicago Food Depository, an organization that fights hunger in the Chicago community.
