Golf enthusiasts and civic leaders gathered at Shoreacres (1601 Shore Acres, Lake Bluff) June 25 to kick off the 57th annual two-day fundraiser. At Dinner on the Bluff, guests dined in celebration of the Founders’ Board’s decades of philanthropic work for the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital. The board’s longest-running event continued the next day, as amateur and nationally renowned golf professionals teamed up to compete in the championship at Onwentsia Club (300 Green Bay, Lake Forest). Winners were recognized at the 19th Hole Awards Party later on. Co-chaired by Mia Buhl and Maureen Seaman and The Men’s Golf Committee’s David Boles and Brian Flanigan, the event raised more than $1.7 million for the community-focused efforts of pediatrician Dr. Matthew M. Davis.
