Seeking: A witty guy who can mix a great martini
She’s got a weakness for Milano cookies and David Beckham look-alikes; she can rap the lyrics to almost every Eminem song and has “hug a panda” on her bucket list. What’s not to love about this River North local?
Seeking: A spontaneous, sarcastic guy to see the world with
The Naperville native is a sucker for Asian fusion spot Sunda — “Please have an appetite,” he says of potential suitors. “I’m a total foodie.” He was a Division I swimmer for Duke before getting into sales at tech company Snowflake Computing, and is looking for a guy who is open to adventure: “I have an itching desire to go sandboarding in the northern desert of Chile.”
Seeking: A “Community” nerd who brings her own point of view to the table
A freelance creative director and writer, the Lincoln Parker is also a certified clairvoyant — but seeing into the future doesn’t stop him from hoping for love at first sight. “A life not believing in meet-cutes is not a life worth living,” he jokes.
Seeking: An adventurous girl with a sense of humor
“My chocolate lab Joni has to approve of anyone I date,” says the Streeterville resident and owner of kayak rental and tour company Urban Kayaks. He likes the dog beach as a first-date spot, or any place where you can play games, like Pinstripes or Chicago Athletic Association. “I like to be outside having fun,
and I’m looking for a partner to play with.”
Seeking: A family man who can hold his own at trivia night
Having earned her master’s in architecture and found her calling “teaching math to students who look like me” as dean of instruction at Englewood’s Johnson College Prep, Noble Charter, the Hyde Park resident is ready to settle down — figuratively, that is. “I love to travel, whether it’s a beach vacation or exploring a new city,” she says.
Seeking: An honest, stable life partner — bonus points if he has a big vocabulary
Neimann has many titles — among them mother, director of runway show production company Fashions with Flair, Inc. and secret chess master. She’s also on the Women’s Board of the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation and believes in living in the moment. Her mantra is fittng: “Life is not a dress rehearsal.”
Seeking: A guy to watch soccer with — especially cheering on the Colombian national team
The Miami native is all about her Colombian heritage — even though her celeb crush, soccer baller Gonzalo Higuaín, plays for Argentina, and the restaurant she co-owns, Sumi Robata Bar, is a Japanese charcoal grilling concept. She’s looking for someone charismatic and ambitious.
Seeking: A well-mannered, well-dressed man who loves dogs as much as she does
The West Town resident started as an on-air reporter for Comcast SportsNet Chicago but, at just 25, left to start her own live and digital production consultancy firm. When she’s not running a company, she’s studying improv at Second City.
Seeking: A Minka Kelly look-alike with whom to experience foreign cultures and foods
As the executive chef at Pilsen’s Dusek’s Board & Beer, cooking is a huge part of the Humboldt Park resident’s life. (His hidden talent? “Give me some foie gras and black truffles and you’ll find out,” he says.) But for him, happiness is all about balance: “If I can keep work humming, squeeze in some exercise and spend a day or two each week with the people I care about … I feel unstoppable.”
Seeking: A confident man who can make her laugh
Patel has a worldly soul — she was born in London and spent part of her childhood throughout the Middle East — and a taste for the various cuisines that come with it. Now she lives in DeKalb, but spends a lot of her time in Chicago working as a sales supervisor for a luxe Italian fashion house. What makes her happiest: “My 10-year-old daughter,” she says. “She has given me life.”
Seeking: A lady to wine and dine at his favorite haunt, Maude’s Liquor Bar
Travel is at the top of the Fulton River District resident’s bucket list: Given the chance, he would take six months off his job as CEO of digital marketing agency Mabbly to stay at the 18 Soho Houses around the world and meet new and interesting people. But he won’t fall in love right away: “[I’m] not sure true love is at first sight,” he says. “Deep relationships are based upon mutual respect and myriad experiences together.”
