Guests paid homage to their favorite fairytales by trading traditional party attire for embellished tiaras and ball gowns at the museum’s annual gala, themed Make.Believe. Co-chaired by Thomas Harmening and Jennifer Vachon the Nov. 4 event at Navy Pier’s Aon Grand Ballroom (840 E. Grand) drew more than 450 guests, who sipped on “Poison Apple” cocktails and bid on auction items prizes like trips to Costa Rica and the Amalfi Coast. The night raised more than $800,000 to support the museum’s exhibits, programming and community outreach.
