What better way to honor the 35th birthday of an iconic shoe than with Chicago icons themselves?
Nike tapped five collaborators — Roc-A-Fella’s Kareem “Biggs” Burke, Errolson Hugh, Travis Scott, Virgil Abloh and Don C — to design their own versions of the white-on-white colorway shoe, which will be on display and available for purchase during a four-day pop-up, starting today.
Set in the former Marc Jacobs boutique in Wicker Park, the pop-up, dubbed AF-100 Gallery in partnership with RSVP Gallery, boasts a live DJ, DIY customization in the Maker’s Studio and a vault with 200 of the most famous AF1 designs. Plus, enter a raffle for the chance to get a pair customized for free. Through Dec. 3, 1-6 p.m. daily, 1714 N. Damen; Nike.com
