All eyes were on actress, author and wifey of former Bull Dwyane Wade Nov. 30, when Gabrielle Union turned out to the Waldorf Astoria (11 E. Walton) to host the second installment of the Live Unforgettable dinner series. Guests sipped cocktails and noshed on a raw bar and passed apps at hotel bar Bernard’s before making their way to a seated dinner in the private dining room of Margeaux Brasserie. The HMR-designed tablescape featured romantic candlelight, rich burgundy florals and pomegranate and black cherry decor, and the menu by Chef Brenton Balika boasted roasted pumpkin agnolotti, red wine-braised monkfish and wine pairings. As an added surprise, Chicago-based voice ensemble group Musicality — who were seen on Season 11 of “America’s Got Talent” — performed for guests, including the song “Too Good at Goodbyes” by Sam Smith.
Get this: Before leaving, diners were gifted roses from Venus Et Fleur, which are said to last an entire year.
