A video presentation shared the emotional story of Lurie Children’s patient Taylor Peterson, who was diagnosed and treated for spinal muscular atrophy, at the 59th annual event at the Hilton Chicago Dec. 2. More than 1,000 guests attended the ball, which saw a lavish dinner, dancing, live music by the Larry King Orchestra and a special performance by Children’s Ball Patient Champion Olivia Ports, who sang “First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes.
