Ballpark fare has come a long way from hot dogs and Crackerjacks — and this year, Wrigley Field takes its food game so far as to be, dare we say, Instagram-worthy.
From fully renovated concessions stands, the Cubs and hospitality partner Levy will hawk new takes on Chicago classics, like the Polk Street breaded pork shoulder with house-made pickles (pictured above), house-smoked bone-in short rib and roasted cauliflower sandwich. They’ve upped the hot dog game, too, adding house-made dill aioli and crushed kettle chips to the loaded footlong, and given the Windy City treatment to a “Chick-ago” sandwich with tempura sport peppers and celery salt.
Bleachers fans will be able to fill up on rotating, player-inspred dogs at the Hot Doug’s stand and “Sandwich King” favorites from Jeff Mauro’s Pork & Mindy’s.
With major-league upgrades like this, baseball season just got even better.
