The theme of “I’m In” sent an empowering message to more than 1,100 Chicagoans who attended the Children’s Research Fund’s signature event, reminding them of the importance of continuing to be “all in” for the patients and families treated at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. The 60th annual event, held December 1 at Hilton Chicago, raised a record-breaking $3.8 million to benefit the vital research conducted at the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute at Lurie. Highlights of the evening included a performance by former Lurie patient Matthew Jazwinski and his jazz quartet Mateyko and a dance performance from Ava Blaser, another well-known Lurie patient. The gala was made possible by event co-chairs Chris Keogh, Holly and Matt Maloney, and Trish Rooney, along with Chairman of the Children’s Research Fund Donna G. Drescher.
