More than 600 supporters gathered for the 14th annual event, held February 22 at Rockwell on the River. The cause was bright indeed: The national nonprofit is focused on the early detection and prevention of breast and ovarian cancer in young women. The chic industrial interior of the venue was transformed into a neon hideaway complete with an igloo dome and chefs’ stations from favorite spots like Aba, Eden, Monnie Burke’s, and Tao. Restaurateur Billy Dec took a moment to express his support and local firefighters headed the annual raffle as drag stars performed and the Chicago Players moved the crowd. The event raised more than $42,000, adding to a total of over $2.1 million raised in total for Bright Pink, which was founded in 2007 by Paramount Catering’s Jodi Fyfe.
