It was a fundraising gala and a joyful housewarming. The Chicago Architecture Center recently moved into a new home at 111 E. Wacker, where it will continue to honor Chicago’s rich architecture legacy with exhibits, events, and experiences. At the gala, held April 4 just next door at Hyatt Regency Chicago, $567,000 was raised to fund CAC’s design education programs for underserved Chicago youth. Every year, the organization serves up to 45,000 kids, families, and students by offering them design education. Nearly 600 guests attended and honored civic leaders at the forefront of innovation in real estate development, constructions, architecture, and design. They included Theodore J. Novak (Catalyst Award Recipient); and Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, and Turner (Corporate Award Recipients).
