Who wants to be stuck in a fitness studio when blue skies and the summer sun are calling? Get outdoors and take to the water with East Bank Club’s See-the-City Kayak Workout. Veteran kayakers and rookie rowers alike can navigate the Chicago River in the company of a guide, who will provide tips to perfect their technique. Participants are encouraged to get as far as they can in the 90-minute workout, so the experience can be as moderate or intense as you like. Or fire up a lackluster exercise regime with East Bank’s Fireworks Paddles. The after-dark kayak trips pause while in prime position to view the Navy Pier display. With all the spectacle you’ll just about forget you’re sneaking in a workout.

See-the-city Kayak Workout:  $35 for club members/$45 guests, on select Saturdays.

Fireworks paddle: $40 members/$50 guests, Wednesdays & Saturdays.
