More than 140 guests bet on a good time July 10 as the city’s oldest women’s philanthropic organization hosted its annual event at Arlington Raceway’s Governor’s Room (2200 W. Euclid, Arlington Heights). Guests enjoyed the horse races and a fashion show, lunch and a competition for best racetrack-ready hat. The luncheon — co-chaired by Sherrill Bodine and Kathy Piccone — raised more than $25,000 to support The Service Club’s grants for 2017.
