The Service Club of Chicago’s Day at the Races
The starting bell rang at Arlington Park (2200 W. Euclid) June 25, and 150 guests in their best millinery placed their bets in the Governor’s Room. Service Club President Simona Garcia and co-chairs Cookie Cohen and Susan Gohl presented the day’s honoree, Arlington Park Chairman Richard Duchossois, with an award for his dedication to the Illinois racing industry. Later, Chicago label Menotti Couture put on a fashion show, and judges announced Kathy Piccone and Scott Seaman as best dressed. The event raised $25,000 to support the Service Club’s philanthropic grants in 2018.
Get involved: It’s almost time to “Rock the Runway” at the organization’s annual Day on the Terrace July 31. For more information and tickets, email Info@serviceclubofchicago.org.
