Mentalist Sidney Friedman got onstage to read guests’ minds in celebration of the all-women’s organization’s 127th birthday, themed “Making Magic Happen,” at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago (160 E. Pearson). Co-chairs Pamella Capitanini, Cheryl Rhodes Coleman and Kristine Farra hosted the bash, which honored Myra Reilly for her 38 years of dedication to The Service Club and featured a live auction, music by The Stanley Paul Orchestra and decor by Kehoe Designs. The evening — which was emceed by Mary Ann Childers and Jay Levine — raised more than $450,000 for the organization’s philanthropic grant program.
